Join Duane Chevalier & Ken Hofheinz out in front of the Hotel Del , on the water side (where the red pin is on the map) at 5:15pm to get set up to photograph the full moon rising over the Hotel Del Dome. You can even shoot the sunset while waiting!
Sunset is at 5:32pm, Moonrise is 5:54 pm, but with the horizon and the height of the dome, you'll have to wait to see what time it comes over the dome!
This is a great opportunity to hang out, photograph a full moon rising over the Del and challenge your skills in landscape photography. You'll have a great time!
Parking is on Rh Dana Pl, along the coast. Park on the street and walk up to the hotel on the sand or using the sidewalk until you see the approximate location and a group of people with cameras! (look at the red pin on the map above)
Please register to attend so we know who will be there. If you are also attending the Dan McClanahan workshop, you can walk right out of the workshop and into an evening of fun, without thinking of rush hour traffic.
This event is NO CHARGE! It's just a fun evening of photography and maybe even learning something new.
NOTE: In case of clouds or other weather issues where photographing the full moon may not work out be prepared to PIVOT!
Duane will be bringing his Godox light and set up to photograph each other! If you have a Godox trigger and/or one light, you might want to bring that to "play".
